The goal of this course is to exploit the highly multidisciplinary topic of the Biology of Ageing to guide students to develop analytic and creative scientific thinking. Students will be asked to think as a researcher: to critically evaluate existing scientific evidence and to propose original hypotheses and experimental plans to tackle complex biological phenomena.
The course will offer students a broad understanding of ageing research, from basic concepts to potential interventions in ageing-associated diseases.
After the introduction of essential background concepts students will be actively involved in the study and presentation to the class of specific scientific topics.
