Enrolment options

The course is composed by two parts, PHARMACOLOGY and MOLECULAR THERAPIES.
The PHARMACOLOGY part (4 CFU) will focus on drug design & development. The main learning outcome is how to manage approaches to drug discovery, and establish safety and efficacy.
The MOLECULAR THERAPIES part (4+2 CFU, 4 CFU) will provide a broad and in-depth knowledge of basic concepts and innovative tools in the rapidly developing field of innovative molecular therapeutic approaches.
EXAM:
PHARMACOLOGY (4 CFU): written test including open and multiple-choice questions. Time: 50 minutes. Extra books not allowed. Group work before test will be awarded extra marks according to content, focus, organization, style.
MOLECULAR THERAPIES (4+2 CFU, 4 CFU): written test with open questions regarding Gene therapy/vectors (4 CFU) and gene editing (2 CFU). Number of questions will be 3. Time: 40 min per question.
Oral presentation and discussion of selected topics for Regenerative Medicine (4 CFU).
FINAL SCORE of the examination corresponds to the weighted average of Pharmacology and Molecular Therapies scores. "Honour" points will be considered according to the scores obtained in the different tests.
Evaluation will consider students’ knowledge of topic; ability to argue and justify the decision-making process when required; structure of argument; scientific language and terminology skills.
